Privacy Policy
No cookies, no analytics, no trackers.
- The site sets no cookies and uses no local storage to track you.
- There is no analytics — no Google Analytics, Plausible, Fathom, or any equivalent.
- There are no third-party trackers, advertising pixels, or social embeds.
- We do not build a profile of you, and we do not sell or share data — there is nothing to sell.
- The only data that exists is what your browser unavoidably sends to load a web page, and anything you choose to email us.
Hosting
What the host sees.
The site is served as static files by Cloudflare Pages. As with any website, your browser must connect to a server to load a page, and that connection is visible to the host. To deliver the site and protect it from abuse, Cloudflare processes standard request metadata: your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested, your browser's user-agent string, and similar technical details.
We use this for nothing. We do not run analytics over it and we do not receive it as an identifiable record of you. It is processed by Cloudflare as our hosting provider — acting as a data processor on our behalf — for content delivery, TLS, and security (such as DDoS protection), under Cloudflare's own terms. See Cloudflare's privacy policy. Our legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in serving and securing the site.
Off-site links
Where the site sends you.
Some links lead off this site — the documentation, our GitHub organisation, and a few cited standards. Once you follow them you are on someone else's property, governed by their privacy practices, not this one. We have no control over what those services collect.
Your rights
What you can ask of us.
Under the GDPR and equivalent laws you can ask us to confirm what personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to send you a copy, or to delete it. Because the only personal data we hold is whatever you have emailed us, a request usually amounts to "delete our correspondence", which we will do.
To exercise any of these rights, or to ask a privacy question, write to [email protected]. If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
